Dear Pastor Gallups, I am a student in school. Our teachers tell us that evolution is the way everything came to be. They say that there is much scientific evidence to support this fact. What do you think? - C.C. -E.Milton

Dear C.C. - Several years ago in a well publicized public debate at the University of West Florida, a professor of Anthropology (the study of human origins) was asked to give ONE piece of scientific evidence that would prove evolution to be true. His answer before several hundred people that evening was that for something to be scientific it didn't need any evidence, only for all scientists to agree that it was so! In other words, this professor of Anthropology, who teaches that evolution is a fact, couldn't produce one piece of evidence, because there ISN'T any!

Further, ALL scientists DON'T agree that evolution is true. Over 900 renowned scientists have gone on record disputing evolution's claims and the vast majority of these are not even professing Christians! One of the more famous is Dr. Robert Millikan, a Nobel Prize winner in Physics and featured in every major Encyclopedia. Dr. Millikan calls evolution, "The cultural MYTH of the 20th century." The "evidence" simply does not support evolution! REAL scientists know this.

So, you might ask, what DOES the scientific evidence support? Very simple, what it ALWAYS has, CREATION! The evidence points to a sudden, instantaneous, intelligent design, beginning. I refer you to the 1st and 2nd laws of thermodynamics. Also, I would refer you to the laws of Design Dynamics. DNA research clearly shows the specific genetic individuality (not evolution) of the species. (See Genesis 1:20-26 - i.e., God created "each after its OWN kind.")

The bottom line, C.C., is this. You are NOT a cosmic accident that evolved from a lower form of sludge and slime. You are a special and unique creation of the Almighty God, Jesus Christ! You have value, worth, dignity, destiny and purpose because God says so! Read and believe God's Word, the Bible. It is NEVER catching up to truth; "truth" is always catching up to God's Word!
